Cast and Crew for Film Productions in Nepal
Local professionals who plug straight into an international production
Overview
Grabnews works from a bench of crew and performers we’ve vetted through real productions, not a directory we’re guessing from. When you book through us, you’re getting people who already know how an international set runs, so there’s minimal ramp up time once cameras roll.
Resourcing
Who We Put On Your Set
Production Side
On the production side, we supply line producers, fixers, and coordinators who handle the logistics and relationships that keep a shoot moving.
Technical & On-Set
On the technical side, that extends to camera operators, drone pilots, lighting and sound technicians, and grip crew. We also cover art department, makeup, and general on set support roles.
Casting
Our Casting Approach
For scripted or performance based work, we cast actors, models, and cultural performers matched to your brief.
For documentary or narrative projects built around real people, such as local residents, tradespeople, or community figures, we approach casting differently: identifying and speaking with potential participants directly, explaining what’s involved, and making sure anyone who takes part understands the project before committing.
Good Fit
Ideal For
- ✓ Productions needing a dependable local crew around a visiting director or DOP
- ✓ News and documentary teams that need fixers who know the region and the people
- ✓ Projects needing performers or community members with a specific look, background, or skill
- ✓ Anyone who’d rather book cast and crew through one contact instead of several
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you vet the crew you recommend?
Most crew we put forward have worked with us on previous productions, so we already know their reliability and skill level firsthand rather than relying on a resume alone.
Can you find crew with a specific language, beyond English?
Often, yes. Depending on the project, we can source crew with additional languages relevant to your shoot, such as regional dialects for documentary work outside Kathmandu.
What’s the lead time for booking a full crew?
For a standard sized crew, a few days is usually workable. Larger crews or roles needing rarer technical skills benefit from more notice, ideally a couple of weeks.
Do you handle payment and contracts for cast and crew directly?
Yes. We manage local contracts and payments and consolidate everything into a single invoice, so you’re not tracking multiple individual arrangements.
Need help with this?
Our production support team handles all the details so you can focus on creating.
